The City Skinny Fit-Day
On Saturday, May 9th, The City Skinny will kick-off The City Skinny Fit-Day in Cincinnati! Since I love my job and meet some amazing instructors all over the world, I have decided to create special days and, eventually, retreats to share these wonderful experiences and cities with my readers. Because we are based in Cincinnati, I feel there is no better place to start. For May 9th, we have put together a fitness-lover's dream day to show your body, mind and soul some serious love. And all you have to do is register and show up- leave the rest to us! We want to keep this one intimate, so we are limiting the registration to 15 participants. If you can't get there this time around, no need to worry as we will soon make this a regular occurance. Here is our itinerary for the day. Definite times and locations will be e mailed to you a couple weeks prior to the Fit-Day. Bring a friend or a family member, or treat yourself or your mom for a Mother's Day gift! ELMNTL Fitness with Kevin Wimmer @ Woodland Mound Park
We begin our day outdoors surrounded by nature in Woodland Mound park, where Kevin teaches this amazing class incorporating natural elements into this dynamic workout routine. I guarantee you will not find anything like this in Cincinnati and you will fall in love with the class and the surroundings, rain or shine!
Yoga flow with Clare Karp @ Woodland Mound park
After ELMNTL, we will continue with a yoga led by Clare Karp of Float Your Mat Yoga. Clare will join us in the park after our dynamic workout to re-center our minds and re-align our bodies in this peaceful setting.
At lunchtime, we will head to The Weekly Juicery in Hyde Park Square for a delicious, healthy lunch and juice tasting, catered by The Weekly Juicery. Owner, Kimmye Bohannon will give a "detox" talk and answer questions about juicing. Her food and juice is incredible, and this will be a great way to replenish your body!
Yoga and meditation at The Yoga Bar OTR
Owner of The Yoga Bar, Rachel Roberts, recently opened this gorgeous studio in Over-The-Rhine. We will treat or bodies and our minds in a yoga flow followed by a mindfulness/meditation session.
CoreStrong with Stephanie Tieman
Stephanie is a total pro who will guide us through two fitness classes at her amazing Covington warehouse studio. We will amp up our bodies once again with some rowing, strength and cardio and whatever Stephanie has planned for us!
We will finish the day with a "healthier happy hour" at CoreStrong as we celebrate our accomplishments for the day and still get home in time for a shower and dinner!
Transportation will be provided for the day starting and ending CoreStrong in Covington. We will also be adding some "treats" along the way and a "more-than a goodie bag" is included in the package.
Cost for the entire experience is $150.
