Whether we care to admit it or not, some of us find motivation through social media these days. I like to equate browsing Pinterest and reading fitness blogs to flipping through a magazine for good articles and sources of inspiration. When I set out to start The City Skinny, encouraging my readers was at the top of my list of things I wanted to accomplish. So with that in mind, I want to acknowledge my readers who inspire me with their fitness accomplishments they share with me. It means the world to me when readers give me a shout out for being a part of their journey and accomplishments, big or small - every step in the right direction counts! It could be that you started a new class, lost 5 pounds, or simply cleaned up your nutrition habits. Maybe you've finally mastered that handstand. I love to hear about it! You never know how reaching and sharing your goals will affect another reader at any given time to lace up and go outside for a walk, or try a new yoga or dance studio. Because at the heart of it, that is what The City Skinny is all about - to explore, be adventurous, and find your strength. So, each month, I would love to highlight and reward a reader's story of their journey, so we can continue the trend of supporting each other at whatever level we find ourselves. I hope to find this site flooded with words of encouragement for each other.
